Services for Government Departments
Emergency and Full casework support
We provide responsive support during times of crisis and emergency, while also working proactively alongside caseworkers to achieve long-term outcomes for children and families.
Our team collaborates closely with caseworkers to help prevent placement breakdowns, support children to remain safely at home, and assist with family reunification where possible.
For longer-term strategies and interventions, we can contribute to planning, coordination, and ongoing case support.
Our supervisors are highly skilled and qualified professionals who deliver a range of targeted interventions. These include reducing carer stress and fatigue, educating parents, and building resilience and safety within families—all aimed at improving outcomes for children.
They are consistently recognised for their expertise in working with children in care or at risk, as well as for their compassionate, flexible approach.
All our supervisors are mature and experienced in in child development and parenting and are well-equipped to manage and support complex family situations.
Contact Venue
Kalamunda Villa
We offer access to a self-contained villa in Kalamunda, which can be used to deliver selected services where appropriate.
The villa features a spacious bedroom, a bathroom, and a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area. It is fully furnished and equipped to ensure comfort and functionality.
The property also includes a fully fenced, secure outdoor area, providing a safe environment for children and families.
Contact Supervision
We facilitate safe, supportive and purposeful contact between parents and children, as well as between sibling groups. Our team has extensive experience working with families, including those with complex needs.
We are highly regarded for our strong observational skills and the quality of our reporting. Our reports are consistently valued by the Department, and we are regularly engaged to contribute to formal assessment processes.

- CPFS offices or designated contact centres
- Clients’ homes
- Our dedicated contact venue
Our contact venue also provides parents with the opportunity to learn, practice, and demonstrate everyday caregiving skills, such as cooking, mealtime routines, and bath time, in a supportive environment.
Babysitting/childminding/Resilience Building
We provide both emergency and planned babysitting services, tailored to individual needs. Our team is experienced in supporting children with special needs, as well as those who may display challenging behaviours.
We have strong expertise in working with children who have complex attachment needs and backgrounds of trauma, ensuring care is delivered in a safe, consistent, and trauma-informed manner.
We support children in building resilience—the ability to adapt to, cope with, and recover from stress, adversity, and trauma.
Resilience develops over time through supportive relationships, self-care, and opportunities to face manageable challenges. Our approach focuses on strengthening these areas to promote long-term wellbeing.
Key strategies include building confidence, fostering positive social connections, and developing effective problem-solving skills.
Examples of work we have undertaken with the Department include:
- Care for children transitioning between placements or awaiting placement
- Overnight and ongoing emergency care in departmental safe houses and hotels while long-term carers are being arranged
- Care provided at our contact venue in the Hills
- Support for carers during school holidays and after-school periods
- Supporting parents to adjust and provide care for children following reunification
- looking after babies and children in hospital when family can’t look after them
Transport
We provide safe and reliable transport for children to and from appointments, ensuring consistency and continuity in their daily lives.
Our team supports regular, ongoing transport arrangements, including travel for contact visits with parents and enabling children to remain at their school when placements change.
Transport can be arranged on an ad hoc basis; however, wherever possible, we allocate consistent supervisors. This allows children to build trust and familiarity with a known adult—particularly important during times of change and uncertainty.
Reunification and Post-Reunification Support
We provide support during both the preparation for reunification and the critical period following a child’s return home after time in out-of-home care.
The initial phase after reunification is widely recognised as the highest-risk period for placement breakdown. Evidence shows that successful reunification is more likely when ongoing support is provided—helping families adjust, strengthening relationships, and reducing the likelihood of children re-entering care.
While caseworkers focus on addressing the issues that led to a child’s removal, we play an important role within the support network by strengthening family capacity and building the skills needed to maintain a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment.
Mother and Baby work
We provide support and accommodation for mothers and their new-born babies during transitional periods, such as when a mother is ready to be discharged from hospital but a longer-term mother and baby or kinship placement is not yet available.
Our service aims to preserve and strengthen early attachment and bonding by offering appropriate levels of monitoring, care, guidance, and practical support tailored to individual needs.
Support can be delivered within our self-contained contact venue or in alternative settings such as a hotel or apartment, depending on what is most suitable for the family.
